Join us for a panel discussion hosted by Don Roman, STMA President Emeritus, to explore the intersectionality of being Black and LGBTQ+ identifying as an artist in the South, and how these experiences may have changed (or not changed) over the past 60 years. The panel features artists Freddie Styles, LaSalle, and Rial Rye, and will be moderated by Demetri Burke, Art Bridges Fellow at the High Museum, working artist, and Queer Perspectives juror.
