We’ll walk you through the basics of making your own stamp & printing away on some handmade cards. You’ll wind up creating a set of stamped cards & a cool hand carved stamp!

September 19th ~ The Painted Screens of Baltimore with Peter Loose (Teens to Adult)
Participants learned about this interesting folk painting tradition and created their own painted summer screen! Originally the screens were a simple way to create privacy on busy city streets during the hot summer. Today they are collected and painted to hang on walls.
Some photos from the workshop:
October 3rd ~ Storytelling Through Collage with Susan Pelham (ages 6 & up)
Participants explored the art of story telling as they created collage works from magazines. Artist Susan Pelham shared her process and showed examples of her work!
November 7th ~ Topophilia with Hope Hilton (for all ages)
How do you get to know a place? How do you understand where you are? What do you notice? Participants went on a short silent walk on the grounds of the museum to tap into their senses for learning and discovery and collect materials for artwork. Drawing, mark-making, texture rubbings, written reflections, and more were incorporated into field journals.
